Illustration Friday:DISGUISE

One bee got tired of being a bee that is thought to be stinging, so it  joined forces with other  like-minders and they have concealed themselves by becoming a huge harmless butterfly.

For Illustration Friday's topic: BEGINNING

Where does a river take its beginning? Usually the beginning is a spring on a mountain or hill or some higher place.
Once at school I was shown one interesting technique. You paint a picture with watercolours and then make a mosaic net on it with ink or ball pen ( I used the ink for it). I love it very much as this way of creating is very engaging and enjoyable. :)

Illustration Friday's topic: SEARCH

A hungry worm is searching for food in this maze of leaves. Help him to find his way to the Apple :D

Here we go: the patterned sky, the patterned sea, the patterned beach and the patterned forest. And that's the pattern of the world.:)

For Illustration Friday's topic: REFRAIN

I chose the second meaning of the word "refrain" that is more connected with music; as the dictionary says  " a phrase, verse, or group of verses repeated at intervals throughout a song or poem, especially at the end of each stanza" . "Words" of the refrain are random. And this time it is semi-cartoon. Enjoy the song!! :D

Luna and the stars

An autumn project.

Since I've already have created the sun (, so I thought it's time I created  Luna (lot.) and the stars for myself. :) There were and destruction and restoration and destruction and restoration again during the whole process, so it took up almost the whole autumn to complete it. It's done with acrylic paints on the board of the piece of furniture, and then polished.

The colours in the light:

A bit of the process:

For Illustration Friday's topic: TAIL

When I saw the word "tail", I immediately thought about a tail of the falling star, and a tail of the flying plane, and later, when the sun goes down, it also leaves a tail :)

For Illustration Friday's topic: SECRET

"Oh, what's behind the door?! " Let's imagine a child is working on some project and it's not for every eye until it's done.
This time I tried to create something in digital way and I'm still a beginner to that but I love the result.

For Illustration Friday's topic: Onomatopoeia

With no intention to offend :)

While the TV is going "Bla-bla-bla", the pumps on the head are sucking the brains out with the sound of "slurp-slurp-slurp", and the mass is going slowly along the tubes with "whoosh-whoosh-whoosh".

P.S. inspired by the really good thought-provoking book "Placebas" by Jurga IvanauskaitÄ—.

For Illustration Friday's topic: TOTEM

Well, again I've tried to think of something for a new topic of Illustration Friday. That's a good activity for the brainstorming :)
For this topic I've chose a snake, a cat and a butterfly. Snake stands for wisdom and knowledge, Cat as the guardian of home and goodness of home (probably that's why I spent so much time in the pet shelter :D ), and Butterfly as transformations and the world of the soul.
